Rainforest Photography Workshop

In December 2010 Bauer Photographer, in cooperation with Maji Lina Gallery & Art Center, held their first "Rainforest Photography Workshop" in the Luquillo Rainforest in Puerto Rico.  The workshop was led by Jerry Bauer with assistance from Neysha Bauer. Four participants took the one-day workshop. The workshop opened with a two-hour interactive lecture discussing the basics of digital photography, composition, exposure, and rainforest photography tips (like how to keep your camera dry!). After the classroom session we headed to the field, to the rainforest and boy did it rain! The class was prepared with raincoats, umbrellas and plastic covers to protect the equipment. We photographed at the La Coca waterfall, La MIna stream, and the Sierra Palm visitor center in the Luquillo Mountains.  All the participants received one-on-one instruction and went home with new techniques and knowledge of their cameras and rainforest photography.  For information on the next Rainforest Photography Workshop contact Bauer Photography or  Maji Lina Gallery & Art Center (www.majilinagallery.com)
