National Geographic en Español, July 2001

The July 2001 issue of National Geographic in Spanish featured our photographs in the “Conservación en América Latina” section. This article is about the unique and important San Lorenzo Protected Area, an old US military base that was reverted to Panama in December 2000. Local not-for-profit conservation organizations are assisting the Government of Panama in helping to provide for long-term protection of this biologically diverse world heritage site. For more information on the conservation of this site and how you can help refer to www.sanlorenzo.org.pa.
